Muses: Walkabout with Nibbles, Alpha and I.

Took leave today to support her drama performance in the late afternoon. Breakfast at Maxwell, then dropped Rae off at her Chinese drama workshop by 9am, then my day with nibbles and alpha!  Started from Red Rot Museum.

Visited the temple to marvel at the engineering feat of the old. This temple was built without a single nail!

Taking a brief respite, surrounded by financial giants. Under shady trees. Lunch time looming. Flipboarding.
This kueh is my lunch. I am not a fan of steam kueh but this one from Maxwell is the 'bestest'.  Photobucket
Our landscape is changing too fast. So, taking a more conscious effort to document it. Never know when I might need it, even if it's for a nostalgic journey down yesteryears decades later.

Elephant parade! Love it.

Reached Raffles Place at noon. Just in time for me to people watch! Love to observe the buzz around me as I sat leisurely without the rush of a lunch hour. Watching the people hurried by while I need not. The sad sadistic life of a minion. I was thankful that that day was not scorching hot and I can sit, watch, click, smile and be thankful for life's simple joy.

My plan was to make my way to Chinatown and then to her drama school by 4+pm. Unfortunately, it started to drizzle and I had to detour to the nearest building when it started to drizzle at 2+pm.

Which was a blessing in disguise as I was hungry! Fuelled up with my favourite Gong cha but decided to try a new flavour. Milk ginger tea. Quite yum but still sweet at 30%

Rain persisted. So spent my 1.5 hours sipping ginger tea, more flipboarding then decided to get a massage.
So much for my grand plan of a long walkabout.

I  love the occasional me-time with my camera.
Things take on a different perspective.
Multi-faceted when you look at the world from different lenses.

Spending time with self is important.
Time with no errands, no deadlines.
Just time to enjoy the world goes by.
Time to think, To reflect.
To remember the really important things in life.
To count our blessings.
To remember what it was like to love life and live life.
To remember how to love life and live life.
To enjoy life's simple joy.
I am a believer in it.
Try it.
